How to Make Cold Brew At Home
Oh. My. Goodness. Could it get any hotter? Today we’ve actually gotten a break from the heat advisory and it’s only 89! Yes you read that right ONLY 89. If you all watch my insta-stories you know I’m obsessed with iced coffee and cold brew. I first thought of brewing it at home after seeing a cold brewing kit at Starbucks a few months ago. But of course I didn’t have the right brewing system so I didn’t get it. After doing some research I decided to take the plunge and order the pitcher and grounds off amazon (linked below). You guys, it is so easy! I’m going to take you through the steps but I’m not lying when I say that it takes less than 5 minutes to prep! The only downfall is it takes 12-36 hours to steep so you have to have a little bit of forethought. Since we have started making it I have just refilled it every time I use the last of the batch that way I have around the clock cold brew. Hallelujah!
What you need:
// Cold Brew Pitcher //
// Coarse Cold Brew Grounds //
Don’t forget the syrup pump 😉
Add Extra Course Coffee Grounds to Infuser. I have done a lot of research and I decided on these coffee grounds by Cold Brew Lab but from my reading you can use any coffee grounds they just have to be super coarse to allow steeping in cold water.
Side Note: I did try another brand and it was super bitter and I could NOT drink it straight I had to flavor it and add milk.
Fill until center infuser is full.
Fill glass pitcher 3/4 of the way with cold water. [You will not have lid on or infuser in when filling]
Slowly lower lid and infuser into water
Put in refrigerator and allow to steep for a minimum of 12 hours but I think the sweet spot is 24 hours!
What I’m Wearing:
// Dress // $24.99
// Necklace // $16.99
// Bandeau // $18
