Happy Thursday lovelies.
I am so glad we are almost to the weekend. This week has been kinda awful for me. I’m struggling with some back pain issues and it’s really starting to take it’s toll on me. If you have ever had back pain, you know how awful it can be. On the bright side though, I have a doctors appointment this afternoon and we are going to discuss our next step. Having a plan will definitely help my mood. As long as I know we are headed in a direction I am able to stay positive. How is your week going so far? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
I love sleeping. I love make up, and I love getting all dolled up for a date night or photo shoot. But on workdays sleeping wins over everything. I am all about minimalism and getting my makeup done as quickly as possible. My current natural look has 4 key products: Foundation, Bronzer, Blush and Mascara. During this post I will be taking you through my morning routine and by the end you too will be able to master this look. This how-to is written and performed by me, a licensed aesthetician. Also keep in mind I have combination to oily skin so if you have dry skin you may need to apply a primer or moisturizer before starting this routine.
Step 1: Apply Foundation of your choice.
I personally use Glo Minerals Luxe Foundation in shade: Naturelle.
To apply foundation I use Glo’s Luxe Foundation Brush. When applying foundation, I squirt necessary amount (in my case 1 pump) onto the brush. Then I dab 4 times on the face; one on the forehead, chin and once on each cheek. Gently blend working from the center of the face out toward the ears.
Step 2: Bronzer
You should apply bronzer in a 3 motion on both sides of your face. Keep is light as we are going for a natural look. I always blend down onto my neck because my face is about 2 shades lighter than my chest. As it should be because I am protecting my face from the sun! 😉 I don’t want any premature aging!
Step 3: Blush
I am using Glo Minerals Blush in color: Sweet
Applying blush is super simple. Smile to find the apples of your cheeks. Deposit the most color there and blend out toward your ear. This blush is amazing because it has lots of pigment. You can also build the color by being more heavy handed with your application and/or applying a second layer. Feel free to go bolder and darker or keep it light for a natural look.
Step 4: Mascara
I use Covergirl Plumpify Mascara it’s waterproof, holds all day and non flaky. Plus is $8.99 at target!
Curl lashes before applying mascara if needed. Swipe in an upward fashion and you’re done! Is anyone else seriously unable to apply their mascara without opening their mouth? I can only do it if I really concentrate! 🙂 Fun Fact!
